Funday Sunday Lunch at Wenty Leagues

We had such a wonderful time at Wenty Leagues. There were 10 adults and 10 children. The food was great... and great value too! Many of the kids had their faces painted, had fun with the clowns and even won prizes. I'm looking forward to doing this again in the future. Louise

Sunday Lunch at Seaspray Brasserie - Tuggerah Lakes Golf Club *Central Coast*

Sunday Lunch at Seaspray Brasserie Shelly Beach was once again great value and well presented at just $9.50, desert included. We had 6 adults and 3 children with 2 possible new members attend this relaxed and friendly venue. The common interests in our group made the conversation pretty lively as we all got to know each other and talked about future events for the Central Coast and Newcastle. This is proving to be a popular venue with members from this area so we plan to do it again in the future. Meanwhile other events are coming up so we hope you can join us and add to the fun. Gary

Bronte to Coogee Coastal Walk

Our coastal walk went well and the weather was perfect for an afternoon by the sea! 8 adults and 2 children walked from Bronte to Coogee. We had lunch at Coogee and then stopped for ice creams at Clovelly on the way back. The children had lots of fun along the way and the adults all admired the wonderful coastline views and being out on a perfect winter’s day. Linda

Xmas in July

What a great night! In total 81 attendees (not including members of the band) - 39 guys and 42 girls plus those latecomers who arrived up the driveway after the front door shut! I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, I did! The neighbours didn't even complain! A big thankyou to all of you who attended and also to you Louise and the guys in the band and of course, our music man Peter... a fun night for all. Pam

Saturday Night Dinner and Play at Play Planet

Seven adults and ten children ventured out to Brookvale for this Saturday night dinner, and we all had a wonderful time at Play Planet once again! The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. The kids played until their dinner arrived at about 6:30. After dinner they went straight back to the play area while the adults chatted over dinner, and later had coffee (and dessert for some). Both kids and adults made new friends and caught up with some we'd met before. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we all enjoyed our night. We could have stayed all night, but alas, all good things must come to an end... We will definitely do this again... PROMISE! Louise

Friday Night $5 Steak Night

Friday night saw ten guys and 5 girls front up to the Sawdust Hotel at Gladesville. Although the famous $5 steaks are now more, at $7.50 it still must be reckoned great value. While numbers were down from the last outing to this venue, we had a convivial group with members arriving from far and wide. One to be enjoyed on a budget -- will no doubt be repeated. KDT

Golden Mile Walking Tour

We had five memebers attend. We had a fantastic time and our host Annette was wonderful and we loved her... saw lots of sights from Underbelly, but also some very interesting facts about Kings Cross in general. Most of us were sydneysiders and didn't know some of the more interesting details so we all got an education. Last stop was the Sugar Mill for a drink and some of us ordered dinner. It was a great night and we all enjoyed ourselves. I was the only women from the group - seems the men had more of an interest in Underbelly this time.... Deb.

Picnic at Bobbin Head

We were lucky to have perfect weather to enjoy our day out at Bobbin Head. The views were amazing. There were 13 adults and 16 kids. The kids had a great time between the playground, a 2km return walk through the mangroves to the rainforest and playing with the SwC sports equipment that Belinda kindly brought for our use. It was a really fun day enjoyed by all. We must do it again. Tamara

Winston Gardens Chinese Restaurant

14 diners and 1 watcher enjoyed a great night of food and music at the Winston Gardens. 2 of our members came down from the Central Coast to share in the good times. We settled on the $32 banquet and after eating many dishes and ice cream, we got up on the dance floor for some fun. Free port capped off a great night, we left on closing time. ps. Tip for future reference: The car park is free at night. Rob

Ten Pin Bowling at Castle Hill

6 Adults and 6 children turned up to enjoy a strike or two on the lanes of Castle Hill Wonderbowl. It was a very good hearted session. We all cheered for each other on any success.. I was the only adult guy there and was severly outclassed by several of the ladies. The chidlren all got on really well. A big thanks to Kylie and young Lilly from the Central Coast who drive down to play - now that's committment! We got a 10% discount as I was in their customer club, which made the games even better value. Last I heard the chidlren were heading off for a local park on what was a lovely afternoon. Rob

Siam's corner with Michele

4 men and 8 women had a most delicous Thai dinner with a good variety of dishes!! The decor and atmosphere was fun and festive with great company including new members and a guest - many laughs and stories over dinner, followed by drinks at the nearby Mean Fiddler pub for a some where we found the warmest place in the pub (upstairs) on a very very chilly night!! This is definitely worth doing again!! Michele

Mon 07 Jun - ADULT/FAMILY
McDonalds for dinner - Seven Hills

We had three women and two men attend, plus four children. In total nine of us. It was a very relaxed evening. No cooking, which was great. The kids went off and played in the playground, which left the adults plenty of time to catch up over coffee. We will definitely do this on another Monday night. Deb

'Two Creeks Track' Bushwalk

The bushwalk on Sunday went really well. The weather was good - no rain until the end of the walk! There were 6 adults and 8 children (all under 10). It was a lovely scenic walk and very easy for the children, as no steep climbs. Some adults had coffee at the marina before starting out and we stopped for a picnic lunch later. Everyone said they'd really enjoyed the day! I'll probably repeat this walk at a later date since it was such a success. Linda

Games Night

Eight gorgeous gals and five charming (and lucky) fella's turned up for the adult games night at Glenhaven. We all warmed up (and most of us struggled) on a shortened version of "Trivial Pursuit" before spending the rest of the evening "Imagining if"... This game was a big hit for laughter and by the end of the night we also knew a lot more about each other....Larrainne
